FAQ

How is your practice different from a traditional practice?
In a traditional practice a doctor may care for a few thousand patients.  In a Private Medical Care (PMC) practice, the number of patients is limited to a few hundred allowing Dr. Gamble and staff to focus on one thing: patient care.

How quickly can I see Dr. Gamble?
Our patients enjoy same day or next day appointments for any illness or injury.  Routine follow ups are scheduled in advance.

Is there a limit to how many times I can see the doctor?
You may see Dr. Gamble as often as is medically necessary.

Can I reach Dr. Gamble directly?
You may email Dr. Gamble with non-urgent inquiries at any time.  Dr. Gamble provides PMC patients with her personal cell phone number for medical matters that arise during non-business hours.

Does Dr. Gamble do Blood Work?
Blood work is drawn in-office.

What if I am hospitalized?
Dr. Gamble will work closely with hospital staff and/or a hospitalist.  She is on-staff at Greenwich Hospital and Stamford Hospital.  Bills accrued during a hospital stay are the sole responsibility of the patient.

Patients pay up front and in full.

Do you offer a family plan?
Yes.

Will insurance or Medicare cover the membership fee?
Neither insurance nor Medicare will cover or reimburse the membership fee.  Medical services provided by Dr. Gamble may be considered an approved expense if using a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flex Spending Account (FSA).  Please check with your employer and/or accountant.

What if I no longer wish to be a member?
You may cancel your membership with the practice at any time and for any reason in writing.

Is the membership fee refundable if I leave the practice ?
Only within the first 30 days.

Can I meet Dr. Gamble before joining the practice?
Prior to joining the practice, you will be scheduled for a 15 minute consultation with Dr. Gamble the purpose of which is to relay your expectations and determine whether our practice is a proper fit. Medical counsel and medications will not be provided at this time.

Do patients sign a contract for care?
Yes.  You will be asked to review and sign a Patient Agreement for Physician Services.  This document was written with legal counsel.  Its purpose is to inform, guide and protect both patient and physician. The term of the Agreement is for 12 months and renews automatically.

What if there are changes to the Patient Agreement or Fee Schedule ?
